HISTORY

St. Mary’s Sr. Sec School is situated in the picturesque Bahu Akbarpur of Rohtak District, Haryana. It is a Christian (Catholic) Missionary school run’s by the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese (DCA), a registered Religious Society. We began this school after repeated visits and requests by the villagers of Bahu Akbarpur with His Grace Most Rev. Vincent Concessao, the Archbishop of Delhi, to start a Christian School in Rohtak. Taking these requests of the villagers into consideration, the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese started the school at Bahu Akbarpur Village in 1997 at Radha-Krishan Mandir with a single room under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Ravinder Jain the mission in charge of Rohtak. Fr. Ravinder Jain appointed Brother Santosh Vazhappally then the Regent as it’s first Principal and the school started with 57 students who were from Bahuakbarpur village. The School in its present stage is the hardwork of Rev. Fr. Cyprion and Rev. Fr. Jas Elenjicikal.During Fr. Cyprion’s time the first block of the building work was completed and inaugurated .The academic excellence, others facilities and the additional block are the hardwork of Rev. Fr. Jas Elenjicikal. In between many religious brothers and sisters rendered their valuable services to this great institution.The support and cooperation form the villagers of Bahu Akbarpur is praise worthy.
